Kick-Off Luncheon: Be part of the impact
Imperial County, October 21 — The annual Kick-Off Luncheon marked the official start of this year’s campaign to support essential services across Imperial County. Community members, partner agencies, and local businesses gathered to learn how collective giving continues to drive measurable impact throughout the region.
During the luncheon, staff presented an overview of community needs identified for the year, explained how donations are distributed, and shared results from the previous campaign cycle. Program partners provided concise updates on key initiatives addressing food security, emergency assistance, education, and workforce development, highlighting the outcome indicators used to track progress and accountability.
The event also outlined the campaign goal and funding timeline, along with detailed grant criteria, reporting requirements, and evaluation methods to ensure transparency. Attendees received practical guidance on participation options—including individual contributions, workplace campaigns, volunteer engagement, and sponsorship opportunities.
Following a simple meal, speakers delivered closing remarks and summarized budget priorities for the upcoming year before opening the floor for questions.
The Kick-Off Luncheon served as both an informative briefing and a celebration of community collaboration, reinforcing the shared commitment to improving lives and strengthening local resources across Imperial County.
