Kick-Off Luncheon: Be part of the impact
On October 21, the annual Kick-Off Luncheon formally opens the campaign year supporting services across Imperial County. The luncheon functions as an informational briefing: staff will outline the community needs identified for the year, explain how donations are allocated, and present results from the previous cycle. Program partners will provide short updates on initiatives such as food security, emergency assistance, education, and workforce support, including the indicators used to measure outcomes. The agenda also covers the campaign goal, funding timeline, and accountability practices (grant criteria, reporting requirements, and evaluation methods). Attendees will receive practical guidance on participation options—individual giving, workplace campaigns, volunteering, and sponsorships—and what each option entails. A simple meal will be served, followed by remarks, a summary of budget priorities, and a question-and-answer period. The event is intended for community members, partner agencies, and businesses seeking a clear understanding of planned activities, the rationale for funding priorities, and how collective support is translated into measurable local impact.
